Cornish Hedgerow Mug

mindful ceramic workshop

W

During this half day workshop you will create your own, personalised Cornish hedgerow mug out of stoneware clay. We start the workshop outside in nature foraging for leaves, berries & flowers from the abundance of foliage the Cornish Hedges of Higher Botrea Farm offer.

You'll then be guided through the process of making a clay slab, designing your foliage layout, cutting your template and assembling your hand built mug. The final step will be adding your name and colour. During the workshop you will learn about hedgerow plants & handbuilt ceramic techniques.

During the workshop you'll enjoy local tea/coffee & local cake or biscuits.

Pieces will be fired & glazed within 6 weeks - you can either collect for free or add p&p (£10) on the day.

visitor stories

"I took my son and daughter  to one of Emily’s sessions for a very fun afternoon. My teenage son is normally very hard  to engage in anything arts and crafts but he really got stuck in. His work of art was actually better than anyone’s! My daughter is SEND and she was fully  absorbed. And very helpful for me, Emily was sure to give her the extra help she needed. Our snack bowls are very important pieces in our house and often used in the house! We’ll definitely be back for another session -Thank you!"
