samnian's story

In 2021 Emily & her husband Matt purchased Higher Botrea Farm with a vision for a combined family home with space they could share with others.

Over the next few years Emily rediscovered her love of creative arts and took a year off to fully immerse herself in studying and connecting with others in the arts.

Emily developed her creative spark as a mixed media artist with a love of ceramic sculpture and a desire to explore women's stories through her work.

The concept of Samnian was born of a desire to create a space where women can come to connect with others, reconnect with themselves and explore their wellbeing through creativity. Samnian is about creativity & connection, not perfection.

A core component of Samnian is to give back to the local community in West Penwith. And every booking contributes 5% to the Samnian fund supporting the provision of fully funded creative workshops in the community.

In addition Emily is committed to supporting the charity wellbeing of women through a percentage of profit.
